Erika and Michael tied the knot at the historic Tanglewood Plantation in the heart of the Lowcountry. This timelessly elegant Southern wedding was held under a stunning canopy of live oaks with dramatic chiffon draping and golden urns filled with bountiful greenery to create an outdoor altar. When arriving at the ceremony, each guest received a custom-designed program featuring the couple’s wedding insignia that doubled as a fan for a gentle breeze on this warm spring day.
After a distinguished military sword salute, guests made their way to the cocktail hour, greeted by lanterns suspended from the tree branches and an Indulgent Crudité Station with Southern Antipasti and Butler-Passed Hors d’Oeuvres. With a full bar, friends and family enjoyed their drink of choice, including His & Hers Signature Cocktails.
The tented reception was lit by romantic cafe lights and tea light candles to add the perfect ambience, and tables were dressed in two shades of neutrals for an elegant contrast. Varying sizes of vases held elegant sweet peas, ranunculus, and tulips for a classically Southern look. Dinner featured a selection of Southern classics and local favorites, including Shrimp and Grits “Martinis,” Lowcountry Crab Cake Sliders, Cheerwine Pulled Pork Barbeque, and more! The evening ended with a three-tiered wedding cake, a Petite Dessert Bar, and so much sweet love for the new Mr. & Mrs. Dunlap!
